Life at Presh is unlike any other agency you will ever work at. Many companies claim to be a family, a support system, or a collaborative environment when in reality that is not the case. But, at Presh it is different. Plain and simple. My coworkers are some of the most supportive, talented, and wonderful people I have ever met. Whether it is a ride home because my car always seems to be having issues, or a shoulder to lean on when the workload is bananas, I know that these people have my back.
My day typically starts around 8:30 or 8:45 when I walk in the door and immediately start catching up with coworkers about how our days went after we left the office, just a quick chat before we start getting deep into our projects. There isn’t always a lot to report but this morning vent session is one of my favorite parts of the day.
My desk is right next to Mallory (our copywriter) and Grady (our videographer/photographer). This open floor plan is essential to helping me accomplish my tasks more efficiently since I can always say, “Hey Mallory, I need a longer sentence,” or, “Hey Grady, what do you think of this banner image?” and get immediate feedback.
HALFWAY THERE
Around 12 I typically go home for lunch and always come back with my signature Diet Coke and afternoon snack. Then I am back to getting my projects done. It is super common for me to be working on multiple projects for both the Bravo and Alpha teams. I am able to collaborate with my web counterpart, Brandon, whenever either of us needs help.
In the afternoon, some of us will go “take a lap” to get some fresh air and clear our minds. By this time, I have also asked Jason, our creative director, a million questions but he doesn’t always give me the answer. Sometimes I sit in his bean bag chair while he asks me questions until I get to the answer myself which is a huge opportunity for knowledge transfer. Be able to work closely with Jason is so amazing since he is the driving force behind the creative department.
One of my favorite parts of working at Presh is hanging out with our office dogs that we have deemed the Directors of Mental Health. It's surprising how many times when my code isn’t working that petting JoJo, Maverick, or Benji miraculously gives me the idea on how to fix it.
Working at Presh has helped me gain many skills, improve the skills I already had, and make some friends that I know I will have for years to come. Joining this team was one of the best decisions I have made and was very fortunate to have been able to start at Presh just a week after graduating college! It's a fast-paced and challenging but rewarding experience and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
